From $67K/mo Agency to $0: My Boldest Move Yet

Two years ago, I was the king of a $67K/month web design and SEO agency. Big clients, fat checks and a team of 35 that crushed it. From the outside, I had it all. Then I burned it down (literally our office burned down, not my fault though if the FBI asks). Best. Decision. Ever.

# Why I Walked Away

I was drowning in client calls and emails. I was making bank but building nothing. My soul was starving. I'm not a manager, I'm a creator. So I pulled the plug.

But the real catalyst? I got diagnosed with Crohn's disease. I had to take a step back to get treated and that forced me to reevaluate everything. Sometimes life gives you the push you need.

# The Transition

Shutting down wasn't a whim. I spent six months offloading clients, finishing projects and breaking the news to my team. Hardest day? Telling my co-founder, who i've known for 20 years. But I knew I was born for more.

We ended up selling the company. Clean exit, but it felt like selling my soul.

# What I'm Building Now

I went from $67K/month to $0. Scary? Sure. Worth it? Hell yes. Now I'm building products that solve my problems:

OrbitHQ: My flagship. It's the SEO tool I always wanted, outsmarting Google's algorithm with AI-powered insights. Early testing shows incredible results.
Student Laptop Finder: Finding a laptop shouldn't feel like cracking a safe. This app curates budget-friendly, high-performance picks for students.
Goodreads 2.0: Book recommendations suck. I'm building a platform that uses AI to match you with books you'll actually love.

# Lessons Learned

1.Money isn't worth misery - $67K/month meant nothing when I dreaded waking up.
2.Solve your own problems - My best ideas come from my own pain points.
3.Courage pays off - Starting over was terrifying but gave me freedom to build what matters.
4.Cheap clients are expensive - Had a client show up at our door once because they didn't get their monthly update over the weekend.

# What's Next

I'm all-in on OrbitHQ, with Student Laptop Finder and Goodreads 2.0 as side bets with big potential. Entrepreneurs, want to ditch the grind and build something real? DM me on X (@astralshardio). Investors, let's talk scaling, check my invest page.

I traded cash for freedom and I'm never going back. What's your boldest move? Share it with me on X.
